Ben will leave QTF after serving 20 months in the role after accepting an offer to become General Manager of Nissan Arena working with Netball Queensland and Stadiums Queensland.
“We have been able to achieve so much in the last 18 months with the introduction of a new Queensland State Cup, a commercial strategy bringing more money into the game, a governance, constitution and operational review which will change the way the sport is run and a new operational team to deliver some great outcomes. I am very proud of the team at QTF and what each of them has achieved under some really trying times. I would like to thank the Board of Directors who are all tremendous people doing great things, the members and stakeholders for their support and wish them all the best in the future.” Mannion said.
QTF Chairman, Gavin Shuker paid tribute to the outgoing CEO’s leadership and contribution. “Ben has made a significant contribution to QTF over the past 18 months. On behalf of the organisation, the Board, the Members, the staff, the sport and myself personally, we thank Ben for all that he has contributed to our sport. It is disappointing to see him move on, but we wish him every success in his new opportunity.”
An announcement on the process to replace Ben will be made in the coming weeks.
